Kevin is our Founder, President, and Director of Operations. A vibrant, engaging, and gregarious change maker, Kevin has been leading and encouraging stakeholders from arenas of amateur sport, hospitality, learning and instruction, and health and safety, with a specific focus on psychological safety for the past decade. He holds a Diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology; a BC Provincial Instructor Diploma; and an Occupational Health & Safety Diploma. He is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) with certifications in Change Management, Safety Leadership and Psychologically Safe Leadership. Kevin works with senior managers and executive leaders as a change mentor to assist and advise organizations how to shift their focus to a new view of safety.
Karen is our Director of Administration and our Lead Instructor in The Mandt System®. A transformational leader who has served in executive management roles in healthcare, human services, heritage and culture and hospitality sectors for more than 30 years, her knowledge of human behaviour as it relates to workplace health and wellness brings a wealth of resources to your organization. With an established reputation for building and maintaining strong, healthy relationships and teams, she has successfully led hundreds of individuals involved in the human service and education sectors through The Mandt System® training, most recently as Lead Instructor for School District #20 Kootenay-Columbia. In addition to being a Certified Mandt System® Instructor, she holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid (Standard) and Mental Health First Aid (Supporting Youth) from Mental Health Commission of Canada; a certificate in Psychologically Safe Leadership from the University of New Brunswick; and is currently working towards Canadian Mental Health Association’s Psychological Health and Safety Professional Certification.
